ON MY NEEDLES:

 I finished the Renita Shawlette,
from Corrina Ferguson of Picnicknits (picnicknits.com).

I finished a scarf for the Special Olympics. It was mailed to the Alaska games.
You can find information about the scarf project at www.scarvesforspecialolympics.org.
The pattern I used was Reversible Striped Scarf, by Lara Harrison.
Information on double knitting can be found at ehow.com

Just because I needed to knit socks, I did a pair of baby socks,
using the Little 16 Newborn Sock pattern by Teri Christensen.

Patons Yoga Socks were knit for a friend,
using the Patons Kroy Socks yarn in Country Jacquards colorway.

Now I'm knitting a pair of Yoga Monkeys,
using Lion Brand Magic Stripes yarn in the purple pattern.

ON MY WHEEL:

I'm still spinning Corriedale Top from
Crown Mountain Farms in "Freya" colorway.

ADDING TO THE QUEUE:

Meagheen Ryan has wonderful patterns, and donates all the proceeds to charities. Please visit her Ravelry shop or her etsy shop (Celtic Heirlooms and Dreams).

TOPIC TALES: CHARITY KNITTING

Peggy (aka  Peg5 on Ravelry.com)  shared a special thank you her
knitting group received when knitting hats for soldiers.

A big thank you to Jennifer, of Knit Love Into It. It's wonderful to see a teenager immediately use her new knitting skills to donate hats to the local cancer center.

I would also like to thank Sharon for letting me share her story of drive-by charity.

Other wonderful charity projects mentioned:

Christmas at Sea (www.seamenschurch.org) - Knit hats, scarves, and socks for the mariners who are far from home.

Halos of Hope (www.halosofhope.org) - Knit or crochet chemo hats.

Mother Bear Project (www.motherbearproject.org) - Knit or crochet bears to be given to children affected by HIV/AIDS in emerging nations.
